Our Boswellia Carterii Frankincense is a resin of the highest quality that exudes from the trunks of the trees of Boswellia Carterii and is 100% wildly organic and wildly crafted. Frankincense Boswellia Carterii is part of a small minority Frankincense types that contain Boswellia acids. Boswellia acid has been shown in multiple studies to have anti-inflammatory properties. When burned, our Boswellia Carterii resin creates an uplifting, comforting, cleansing mood. It excels a rich, deep, balsamic, citrus aroma. Our Frankincense Boswellia Carterii resin is sustainably harvested from the wild jungles of Eastern Africa by Nagaad in collaboration our network of communities.
Raw Resin
Our Boswellia Carterii Resin is an exudate of topmost quality from the tree trunks of Boswellia Carterii and is 100% Wildly Organic and Wildly Crafted. Following sustainable harvesting practices, the resin is obtained by the Nagaad team alongside local communities. It has about three grades. The tree itself is a very distinct specie found majorly in Somalia, although it is believed to be a variable form of B. sacra. The resin itself has a dusty surface and is semi-translucent in appearance.
We produce Boswellia Carterii Frankincense in three grades depending on the size of the blocks or tears that come from the tree. The Frankincense is excellent for burning as incense and use in health remedies. In the past many of the Boswellia Carterii trees have been over-logged thereby forcing harvesters to travel further into the desert for quality resins.
Boswellia Carterii Frankincense produces a feeling of calm when inhaled. It slows down breathing and clears airways. It has antiseptic, astringent, cicatrizing, diuretic, digestive, uterine, and sedative properties. It is helpful for asthma sufferers as it eases shortness of breath.
The resin gum extracted from Boswellia Carterii is a superior resin also known as Yellow Frankincense as it has unusual different shares of yellow/brown color that seeps naturally from the tree. As with all Frankincense it is a powerful expectorant and very effective for respiratory issues such as colds, flu, asthma, and other lung issues.
